SYMPTOM(s):
Progress 9.1x PROBKUP fails.
The last backup was not completed successfully. (1553)
Disk drive utilization is at 100%.
CAUSE:
Insufficient disk space.
FIX:
If you are backing up to disk you need to ensure there is enough disk space for the backup file(s). You can estimate the amount of disk space needed by using the -estimate parameter.
Example: probkup dbname -estimate
However, be aware that the -estimate parameter can only be used when the database is offline.
