FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
Oracle DataServer
SYMPTOM(s):
Too few index cursors. Increase -c parameter. (420)
CAUSE:
The limit set by the -c parameter has been exceeded. The maximum number of index cursors is limited in Oracle by the parameter OPEN_CURSORS in file init.ora. The -c parameter, specified by the Progress client, can be up to and/or equal this value.
FIX:
Increase the -c parameter used when connecting to the Oracle database. If -c is already set to the maximum value specified by OPEN_CURSORS, then OPEN_CURSORS will have to be increased.
