Where to find PROGRESS database design limits
PROGRESS product limits are documented, however, where they are
documented has changed from one version to another. This notebook
entry provides guidelines on where to look for PROGRESS limits.
In Version 6 and earlier, online help regarding PROGRESS product
limits are visible via the PROGRESS Help menu, <F2> or <CTRL-W>
from the editor. They appear in Chapter 1 of the
System Administration II reference manual, and are indexed
under "Limits".
In version 7.2, refer to Appendix A of the System Administration
Guide.
In version 7.3, refer to Chapter 1 of the System Administration
Reference.
To access the V7 online documentation of product limits, go into
the User Interface Builder (UIB). Select HELP. From the HELP
menu, select CONTENTS. Then select "PROGRESS On-Line Reference"
from the summary text which appears. Once this is displayed,
select SEARCH and enter "LIMITS" in the word box. Then select
SHOW TOPICS for a list of the product areas with documented
limitations.
