FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
SYMPTOM(s):
Attempting to Start an AppServer Broker
Exception binding broker : <ExceptionMsg_string> (8521)
Exception binding broker : Exception creating connection to: t1; nested exception is: java.net.NoRouteToHostException: Operation timed out: no further information (8521)
CAUSE:
The user starting the AppServer needs the following privileges:
- Log on as a batch job
- Log on as a service.
Please be aware that by default the Administrator does not have those permissions.
FIX:
Using the User Manager, grant the privileges mentioned in the Cause statement to the user used to start the AppServer.
