Can I add additional packages to an existing installation in version 8?
FACT(s) (Environment):
UNIX
Progress 8.x
FIX:
There is no utility to perform a package addition in version 8.
1) Shutdown all Progress processes
2) Move / Rename the current Progress installation directory
3) Install all original packages plus the additional packages into the original installation location
4) Rename the progress.cfg in the new installation to newprogress.cfg
5) Recursively copy all files from the original installation into the new installation directory.
6) rename the $DLC/progress.cfg you just copied to $DLC/origprogress.cfg
7) rename the $DLC
ewprogress.cfg to $DLC/progress.cfg
