SYMPTOM(s):
Error 4524 in dblog references .bi file.
SYSTEM ERROR: File <file-name> too small <length>, blocksize <blocksize> extend failed." (4524)
CAUSE:
Corruption in the before-image file.
FIX:
Remember that if crash recovery is not possible because of a damaged
BI file the Progress number one recommendation is always to restore from a
valid backup. There is no integrity guarantee otherwise.
