SYSTEM ERROR: I/O error 22 in readit, ret <n>, file 7, addr 0. (290)
the client temporary directory (-T parameter) point to a local drive
SP3 of Windows 2000 has been applied
Application moved off file server and propathed to local machine. Done same with working directory but still getting (290)
CAUSE:
The Progress application has been published on the Citrix Server Farm and one of the open files was prematurely closed causing the error 290.
FIX:
- Make sure that all the latest Microsoft and Citrix service packs have been installed on every machine that is member of the Citrix Server Farm.
- Install the Progress and deploy the application files on each and every member server using the same path.
- Configure the application's registry key or ini file to reflect the same Progress installation directory and application propath.
E.g.
- On every member server install Progress on: <mapped_path>:\%DLC%
- On every member server install application in the same directory: <mapped_path>:\%DLC%
- On every member server configure the temporary directory specific to each user
