DDE INITIATE failed error with e-ddeex1.p in EPI doc

Customers may try to use the example in the External Program Interface
documentation and encounter the error "DDE INITIATE failed". This can
usually be resolved by specifying the full path of the Excel software
in the RUN WinExec (INPUT "c:\msoffice\excel\Excel /e", INPUT 2)
statement. Or they can add the directory to their PATH prior to
invoking the procedure.

There may also be a problem if the user is invoking the external
application repeatedly. Earlier documentation included a
"DDE TERMINATE sys" statement following the "DDE TERMINATE sheet"
which will resolve this cause of the initiate failure on the second
and subsequent iterations.

NOTE: The Progress.ini file uses a ImmediateDisplay=Yes statement that
is typically commented out with a semi-colon (;). Some customers have
experienced DDE initialization failures when this statement is
commented out. Try uncommenting the statement to see if this will reso
lve the DDE initialization failure.
