SYMPTOM(s):
Progress 9.1x InstallShield screen will not accept the Progress serial number.
The characters entered are from the Progress license addendum (green sheet).
CAUSE:
Entering Control Codes in place of a Progress serial number will cause this problem.
FIX:
When prompted for the Progress serial number, make sure you enter a valid Progress serial number, not a control code. Entering the correct serial number will resolve this problem. A Progress serial number is nine (9) characters numeric characters. Whereas, the Progress Control Codes are three (3) sequences of five (5) alpha-numeric characters.
