SYMPTOM(s):
Attempting to start Database.
Error in the .lg file.
SYSTEM ERROR: Invalid shared memory segment identifier (1174)
CAUSE:
Due to hardware error the .db file contained an invalid entry for the shared memory identifier.
FIX:
- Truncate the bi file
- For UNIX run dbpibs
syntax : proutil -C dbipcs
- Then bi grow the file
- Ensure a valid structure file exists containing the correct structure for the database.
