SYMPTOM(s):
Errors are encountered when starting the Progress installation utility, Proinst, on IBM AIX.
Cannot load program cdrom/_ovrly because of the following errors:
Member shr_comm.o is not found or file is not an archive.
Cannot load library libpthreads.a[shr_comm.o].
System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
AIX 4.3.2
CAUSE:
Progress version 9.1D/3.1D is not certified on AIX 4.3.2. It requires AIX Version 4.3.3 with MUP level 2.
FIX:
Update your Operating System Level to 4.3.3 and apply the required patch MUP Level 2.
