SYMPTOM(s):
Operating System encountering hardware problem
Database abnormally terminated.
Memory Violation 49
Prostrct unlock cannot gain access to the database.
Can not establish a single user session to database.
Scan of database using proutil DBRPR failed to finish.
CAUSE:
Hardware failure caused file corruption on the filesystem where the Progress installation and database resided.
FIX:
1. Backup existing Progress install and database files.
2. Remove the Progress Installation.
3. Reinstalled Progress.
4 Attempt single user session to database and perform a dump and load.
If a single user session cannot be established to the database, restored the database from backup.
