GOAL:
What licenses are required if Progress is installed on another node of a cluster?
GOAL:
What are the license requirements to run Progress on two nodes of a Windows Cluster?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
All Supported Operating Systems
FIX:
If Progress is installed onto another node of a cluster or mirrored to another server in case of failure on the main node/server, then a Hot Standby license is required for the second node/server.
This is required even though the second node/server will never be used unless the first node/server fails.
The details of the Hot Standby license can be obtained from the Progress Sales Office
