Error message is generated when trying to start a Progress character client session.
Cannot start a client session post install
Errors (293) (3261) when starting a client session after installing Progress Licenses
Installed ProVision Plus or ProVision

Unable to run the PROGRESS Procedure Editor _edit.p. (3261)
_progres returns same error (293) (3261)
_edit.p in DLC\src
startup.pf file, progress.ini file and the target path of the icon correct
CAUSE:
Character base tools are not installed. Progress character interface is optional on installation and are not included when TYPICAL install is selected.
FIX:
Reinstall progress and be aware to install also the Character Base Tools, Character Database Admin Tools, Character Image --- Dev, Character Runtime Client --- Dev
Reinstall using COMPLETE install to include all components. If only the Appserver license is installed, make sure to also install Client Networking, as Appserver
only allows for an Appserver to connect as a client to a database. It does not allow a client to connect.
