Yes, Progress supports the use of reading from and writing to named pipes
on the Microsoft Operation Systems.
Pipes should be used in the form of "\\.\pipe\<pipename>".
note: The pipe name supplied must be the name of an already existing pipe.
Progress does not *create* pipes, it only reads and writes them.
