Oracle error - 1012 see "Oracle Error Messages and Codes Manual". (1252)
Failed to connect to ORACLE database <db_name>. (1451)
ORACLE_HOME registry entry does not exist
ORACLE_HOME is not set at system level
CAUSE:
On Windows, if no registry entry for ORACLE_HOME exists, Progress then searches for the ORACLE_HOME environment variable at the system level. The error can occur if, ORACLE_HOME variable is not set or incorrectly set.
FIX:
Set ORACLE_HOME at the system environment variable level to the correct location of Oracle client/rdbms installation.
