How does Intel Pentium Processor bug affect Progress
In early December of 1994, a problem was reported with the Intel
Pentium processor chip that may result in incorrect values being
generated from math calculations.
It is unclear at this time whether this problem will affect PROGRESS
in any way.
It is unlikely that the Pentium problems could cause the PROGRESS
database to crash or become corrupt. However, the PROGRESS 4GL does
contain some floating point code that may be affected. The Pentium
problem may affect the results of the following: Report Builder,
ESQL, HLI/C.
