Menu: Environment > 4GL Database Access > Import .pf
Use 'Import .pf' screen to import the 4GL connection data to the databases through PF files and Alias. Click the button and enter:
1. Company: For Multi-Company environments, in company "Multi" select the PF of one of the companies, even if the mono-company databases are also configured in such PF. In the other companies, import the PF of the company at issue. During the update process, the console automatically identifies whether the databases are multi or mono-company and runs the stages as needed.
2. Connection: Use this option to customize the database connection for each execution stage of the console.
a. Default: Setting that has database connection information common to all stages. If you want all stages to have the same database connection information, select this option and configure the databases accordingly;
b. Verification: Database connection settings in Verification stages. Verification stages: Settings verification, Assumption execution and Data check;
c. Settings: Database connection settings in the Dictionary Elaboration and Dictionary Correction stages;
d. Update: Database connection settings in the Data Update stage.
3. File.pf: Enter the directory\file.pf with database connection.
4. Alias file: Enter alias only if bases are unified. Enter directory\file_alias.p
If you want the database connections to be tested on the application server, check 'Import connection parameters in Application Server'
After filling out all the data, click 'Import'. At this point, the console tests the connection to the databases configured in PF and registers them to the company selected. Databases with connection problems are displayed red.
You can choose to register parameters for this database or to delete it, through option "Delete database selected". Do not delete the connection to a database, unless TOTVS support explicitly recommends it.
