SYMPTOM(s):
Webspeed broker goes down randomly
Webspeed broker errors out randomly
accept() on port <portNum> failed: <IOException_string> (8047)
accept() on port 3055 failed:
java.net.SocketException: Interrupted system call (8047)
Error randomly occurs, and brings down webspeed broker
Error displayed three times then the broker went down
Setting JAVA compiler and thread flags did not help.
Disable JIT and native thread did not help
Java fix from SCO at ftp://ftpput.sco.com/tmp/java-1.3.0-fixes/
did not help
Originally experienced the same problem in 9.1C.
After upgrade to 3.1D, the frequency of broker shutdown reduced
Using Java 1.3
CAUSE:
This is an issue with Java 1.3 and OpenUnix 8.
FIX:
Restart broker on a regular basis.
