Does any startup parameters work with Oracle Dataserver? No
Contrary to popular myth, Progress startup parameters would NOT do
anything.
Most Oracle performance tuning is done in Oracle's init file. Other
factors are to give Oracle as big a database block cache as memory
will allow and big shared sql area. Lots of semaphores in the Unix
sysgen will be helpful too.
