FACT(s) (Environment):
UNIX
WebSpeed 3.x
SYMPTOM(s):
Can not start Webspeed broker
Error indicates there is no webspeed license
Progress database and WebSpeed licenses installed in different directories
Database installed in directory1
Webspeed installed in directory2
CAUSE:
DLC is pointing to Progress install directory1 rather than WebSpeed install directory2
FIX:
1. Shut down admin server
2. Reset DLC to point to webspeed installation directory, and export the environment variable. The correct syntax are:
DLC=directory2; export DLC
PATH=$DLC/bin:$PATH; export PATH
Then start admin server and webspeed broker
