DGUX V.4.3.10 Patch needed to aid performance problems.
DGUX has patch # 26 that fixes an issue with -directio as well as an a
dditional issue regarding performance. The latter problem corrected y
ields increased performance for sequential reads of DG/UX files whose
size is greater than one data element. DG/UX was incorrectly calculat
ing the block for the next buffered read-ahead request. In some cases
the calculation referenced a block passed the end-of-file, thus no re
ads were executed. In other cases, the block referenced was incorrect
, thus causing unnecessary read requests.
Customers running progress on DG/UX V.4.3.10 should get this patch fro
m DG.
