Could not t_open device /dev/tcp (2001) NLM startup tcpip
With the NLM product, if you try to startup the NLM server to
service TCP/IP and/or SPX clients:
v6: load _mprotli {PATH}dbname -S service -N tli
v7: load _mprosrv {PATH}dbname -S service
you may recieve the following error message:
'Could not t_open device /dev/tcp. try -Nd parameter' (2001)
This is due to the fact that the TCPIP.NLM is not loaded prior to
starting the NLM and the service value (-S) is already located
in the etc/services file.
This message can be ignored if you are only going to have SPX clients
access the database. If you require TCP/IP clients, you must install
and configure TCP/IP properly on the Netware File Server (which
includes, but is not limited to, loading the TCPIP.NLM) Please see
the Novell documentation on how to configure TCP/IP on the Netware
file server.
