SYMPTOM(s):
Using NetSetup to install a client on a XP sp1 machine fails.
Error: setup requires a different version of windows.
CAUSE:
Progress version 8.3A is not certified with XP.
FIX:
This client was able to do a successful NetSetup using a vanilla XP client, however, our recommendation is to upgrade to the latest certified version of Progress.
Upgrade Progress to either 8.3E or 9.1D.
