FACT(s) (Environment):

SYMPTOM(s):
<file-name> is missing, shutting down... (4195)
dbname.lk is missing, shutting down... (41985
Database shuts down abnormally.
Database starts without a problem after abnormal shutdown.
CAUSE:
Norton anti virus program is scanning all Progress directories and files.
While Norton Anti Virus scans a file, it cannot be accessed by other programs or processes.
FIX:
Configure the anti virus program to exclude all Progress directories and files.
