If the new license received from sales admin contains the same serial number but different control code, use proupdt utility.
The proupdt utility allows you to change the expiration date and the user count. This utility does not allow the addition of products.
To run PROUPDT:
1. cd $DLC
2. At the system prompt, type
proupdt and press RETURN.
3. Enter your company name, new serial number and control numbers when prompted. 3. Enter, Enter, CTRL E to finish.
NOTE: You cannot use the Product Update utility to add additional Progress products. See the "Installing Additional Products" section in Chapter 2, "Installing Progress," for information about adding more Progress products.
If the new license received from sales admin contains different serial number and control code, reinstall is required.
