DOS 5.2A probkup gives error "filename is not a special file

Using the -s size option while attempting to perform a full or
incremental database backup with the probkup command produces the
following error message:
e.g., probkup demo a:\demobk -s 708
a:\demobk is not a special file, multiple volumes are impossible
The probkup will then terminate. Before the backup, the file
a:\demobk did not exist.
WORKAROUND Create the backup file before running the probkup command.
This is necessary on the first backup volume only.
