RESULTS V5 BUGS - Report Wrapping and Totals Calculation
INTRODUCTION:
This Product Service Technical Support Knowledgebase entry describes report Wrapping and Calculation of Totals Bugs in RESULTS
NOTE: THESE TWO BUGS ARE FIXED IN VERSION 6 RESULTS.
Workarounds for RESULTS Version 5 bugs.
1. Report Wrapping:
If you have a stacked label in a report, where the longest
line of the label is the last line, and the label width is
wider than the format, RESULTS incorrectly calculates the field
width, causing the report to wrap.
Example: label "Home!Phone Number" format "xxx-xxxx"
Workaround: add spaces between the first line or the label and the
exclamation point, to make the first line equal in length to
the last line.
Example: "Home !Phone Number" = space.

NOTE: There is a RESULTS patch available.
Download r-labsip.p-x. This is xcoded source.
To compile, use COMPILE ... SAVE ATTR-SPACE.
NOTE2: Since V5 and V6 have been retired, patches are no longer
available for these versions.
2. Totals Don't Work on Calculated Fields
This is a restriction on V5. Aggregates on calculated fields
work in V6 RESULTS. There is no simple workaround.
NOTE: There is a RESULTS patch available.
Download r-extra.p-x and r-write.p-x. These are xcoded
source. To compile, use COMPILE ... SAVE ATTR-SPACE.
This patch will fix the totals problem.
NOTE2: Since V5 and V6 have been retired, patches are no longer
available for these versions.
