Minimum files required for v7.3B MS-Windows App. e.g. laptop
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
This entry concerns what files are needed at the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM
to run a Progress application under MS-Windows with version
7.3B. Many customers will have a need for this information if they
are deploying their apps in a tight environment (such as laptops).
The installation utility we provide does not address this problem, and
our documentation is not specific enough. The following files will
provide STAND-ALONE capability with no networking in consideration,
but will provide DDE functionality.
SOLUTION:
The customer will need to either install the following files manually
or develop their own install utility for the installation. Total space
required should be just over 5 MB.

WINDOWS SERVER EXECUTABLES:
wproserv.exe
wproserv.sym
wproshut.exe
wproshut.sym
OTHER NOTES:
Keep in mind that the client packages (CP) and RUN-TIME only licenses
don't come with wproserv.exe, and that these files will not give the
customer full data dictionary or editor capability. It is really
meant for BARE BONES installation. More exe's will be needed for other
functions if required. This list most likely change for other releases
as well.
