Can the V6 Protected Mode DOS client run in DOS Window? NO !
With Progress' V6 DOS product, you cannot run the protected mode
client (_pprogrs.exe) in a DOS Window under MS/Windows 3.x,
MS/Windows 95 or MS/Windows NT 3.51. The DOS protected mode product
requires VCPI compliant memory which cannot be emulated in a DOS
window under any of these operating environments.

Support.
