XENIX 386 HLC DOES NOT WORK ON SCO UNIX 386 O/S: USE UNIX386
900516-SLK01
Our SCO Xenix 386 Port for HLC (5.2I) does not work on the
the SCO UNIX 386 o/s. The error you get running the testhlc
script ( while attempting to link) is:
"Cannot link coff and omf records"
Our UNIX 386 port for HLC (5.2I) does work on the SCO UNIX 386 o/s.
In 5.2I there is still a bug in HLC that requires that the user have
sockets libraries in order to generate a multi-user module. See my
tech notebook entry # 900516-SLK02 for info on how to work
around the bug in order to generate a single-user executable.
