Does PROGRESS run protected mode under CTOS? Not applicable.

900328-SLK01Does Progress run in protected mode under BTOS?
We will load anywhere that's available in amount of memory you have.
Progress is a protected mode compatible program. O/S
determines where we load. Our server is a standard BTOS server so
the o/s loads us at the highest available memory location (loading
downwards). btos is not really virtual memory - cause once it loads
you some where, you're there to stay - never moved. Some programs
require that the data segment be loaded in real memory cause real
memory guarantees that you'll get loaded in contiguous space -
necessary for large data segments. Can't do with Progress & doesn't
matter cause our data segments can't be larger than 64K.
Progress clients as well will load anywhere - not restricted to the
first 1mb.
