Out of filehandles DOS pmode & multi-vol: s/e 24 (43)
900525-dma01Using the protected mode product and/or a multi-volume database under
DOS can lead to an out-of-file handle problem. The workaround is
to create/update a CONFIG.286 file in the root directory with the
entry: PSPSWITCH=0. This will allow more than 20 open files. Also, add
the entry: SET AIA=C:\CONFIG.286 in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Finally,
reboot your machine to activate your new CONFIG.286 and AUTOEXEC.BAT.
