Running utils - getting message "Ambiguous Redirect Output"
910813-cmb01
Some of our PROGRESS utilities (mkdump, for example) use the notation
"2>&1" to put a UNIX process in the background (i.e. as a background
process).
This notation is only known in the BOURNE shell of UNIX. Customers
that run in the C-SHELL will not be able to use this notation. If they
try to run with this notation, they will see the error "Ambiguous
Output Redirect".
The workaround is to tell the customers to run in the Bourne Shell when
running the utilities.
