Installing on a mapped DOS LAN drive: LOG IN AS SUPERVISOR
890829-LRB02Installing Progress on a mapped DOS drive
I tried to install Progress on mapped drive on our Novell network
with the following results:
1. I started the netowrk shell, but did not log in to the network.
This means that I could access F: but not any other mapped drive. I
typed a:\install and used F: as the drive to install on. I received
the message "Permission denied" regardless of what directory I
attempted to install in. The "Installation Complete" message then
overwrote the blue installation box.
2. I started up the network shell and logged in as myself. I could
then install on any drive and directory that I had access to.
3. I started up the network shell and logged in as supervisor. I
could then install on any drive and directory that I chose to.
