PROCEDURE EDITOR: Unable to find or open file
Symptom: Try to open a file in the Procedure Editor and you receive
these messages: Unable to find or open file
Creating untitled buffer in its place
If customers running 7.3A are having trouble opening up files and
bringing them into the Procedure Editor, then they should set
TMP= to a directory other than the root directory. This problem is
often seen on OS2 because the default setting of TMP is
TMP=[boot]:\ in its DOS-BOX environment. Please note that the
directory that you set TMP to MUST REALLY EXIST and spelling must be
correct (no extra spaces at end etc...).
This problem can also be seen under MS-Windows if TMP is not set to
a directory other than c:\.
IMPORTANT: Please set the TMP evironment variable in your autoexec.bat
file. WIN/OS2 users may think that setting it in the config.sys file
is sufficient but it is not-- you must set it in the autoexec.bat
file.
