How to get an HP VECTRA to run in EXTENDED mode progress:
890926-sec01It has been reported That Extented Mode Progress will run on a HP
Vectra:
When Configuring the Hardware go through Configuration Setup Program
1) Set System Configuration
Date, Time Memory Size, Internal Disc Drive Types,
Primary Display Characteristics
2) Align TouchScreen
3) Prepare Internal Hard Disc for Moving
4) Initialize Internal Hard Disc
5) Keyboard click ON/OFF
6) Computer Speed Selection
7) Exit
Enter option number and press <Enter>:
if you enter YADA you will bring up the HP Vectra RS Setup Screen:
the screen looks like this

Various Settings: Current Power On Defaults
1. EX_BIOS: ON/OFF OFF OFF ON
2. HPHIL: ON/OFF OFF OFF ON
3. HPHIL interrupt number 1RQ12 1RQ12 1RQ12
4. EX_BIOS interrupt number 6FH 6FH 6FH
5. Click Volume parsing:ON/OFF ON ON ON
6. Speed change Control:ON/OFF ON ON ON
7. Shadow RAM Video BIOS: ON ON ON
8. Exit
The key here is to have selection 1 EX_BIOS turned OFF.
