BTOS install problems 6.2G31 for RunTime & Query
920409-elp01PROBLEM: 6.2G31 INSTALLATION FOR BTOS/CTOS.
FILES FOR RUNTIME, QUERY/RUNTIME, AND QUERY/REPORT ARE NOT
GETTING COPIED OFF THE DISKS.
RUNTIME, QUERY RUNTIME, and QUERY REPORT will all have the same
problem.
If a user already has a bad install disk, and they know how to use
the BTOS editor (DO NOT LET THEM USE A WORD PROCESSOR!), they can edit
the file [PROGRESS]<sys>install.tab.
Search first for the first occurrence of their product: "RUNTIME",
"QUERY" or "QUERY/RunTime".
Find the first "TABENTRY" under that product.
The fifth item (items are delimited by commas) in that
TABENTRY will be either "dlcrt" for RUNTIME, or "dlcq" for the Query
Products. This fifth item needs to be changed to "dlc4gl". They
should then be able to install ok.
