cannot run full PROGRESS on B26 machine - not enuf memory!
901012-SLK01This notebook entry is just to reiterate that V5 PROGRESS Full
Development (4GL/RDBMS) will not run on a B26 machine running
BTOS/CTOS. This is because the B26's can only have 1mb of
memory and this is not enough to run Full PROGRESS even with
default start-up options. The only V5 product that
successfully runs on a B26 is PROGRESS Runtime with default
start-up parameters. The Full PROGRESS in Version 5 and
above needs at least 1.2mb to run without getting
stget: out of storage (283) and iobfalb: out of storage (911)
errors (in other words, you need at least a 2mb machine).
If the customer runs Version 4, they might get Full PROGRESS to
run on a B26 if they use the PROGRESS Swapping Single/Multi
User modules.
