UNIX DISKETTE Install - "not a cpio file" error -- WHY?

If a customer calls and says that in trying to install the
UNIX DISKETTE software, this message appears:
"not a cpio file"
The problem could be that it is the wrong density disk drive.
This is especially prevalent on the Tower machines. If a customer
tries to install a HIGH-DENSITY disk using a LOW-DENSITY disk
drive, this is the error that shows up.
