Error "ft/mx.p not found" in v5, FT on VMS
891011-hjb00Version 5 VMS customers will encounter an error "ft/mx.p not found"
when starting up FAST TRACK if they create a pftstartup.com like the
one that we describe in our installation instructions. According to
the pftstartup.com that we provide and describe in the installation
notes, PROPATH should be set the following way: DEFINE PROPATH
",$DISK1:[DLC],$DISK1:[DLCFT]". FAST TRACK, however is unable to use
the PROPATH when it's set in "VMS" format. Like in version 4 of
Progress, the PROPATH must be set in unix format for FAST TRACK to
recognize it. Change the pftstartup.com PROPATH setting to the
appropriate unix format i.e.: DEFINE PROPATH ",/usr/dlc,/usr/dlcft".
FAST TRACK will then recognize the PROPATH. Customers that use the
pftstartup.com that is created at install time will not encounter the
problem since we create the propath in unix format.Customers using
Progress and no FAST TRACK are not affected and may specify PROPATH in
"VMS" format.
