CAUSE:
This is a known issue logged as bug 20010607-017.
A bug exists in the webspeed agent that can cause it to deadlock given a certain sequence of operations with specific timing characteristics. The problem occurs as a result of trying to output the "Pipe to subprocess has been broken. (140)" message (which is logged when a failure occurs on the socket between the agent and the webspeed messenger).
FIX:
Upgrade to 9.1C01 or later release.
