-S Server Name: Documentation should say proserve and mpro

911031-elp01There is a documentation bug in section 3.2.67 Server Name of
the System Admin Guide II. The book shows the -S parameter
as being used with P,M which stands for pro (single user
software) and mpro (multi-user client session). This
is incorrect. It should read that -S is used with S
(proserve) and M (mpro).

The -S Server-name is used only when there are multiple
users to serve. It is used:
- when starting the broker or server on a machine
that will server remote users (those connecting
over a network),
- when starting multi-user PROGRESS as a remote user,
- when used on a LAN to circumvent a service-name
naming conflict.

See pp. 3-59 of Sys Admin II, 6-19 of Sys Admin I., and
7-12 - 7-15 of Sys Admin I.

See also Appendix C of Sys Admin II, p. C-10.
