CAUSE:
The Mail Server specified in the Mail Bridge Configuration file is not accessible.
FIX:
From the Configuration file of the Bridge Server (by default BridgeConfig.xml), make sure that the Mail Server specified in the "Host" field is accessible from the machine where the Bridge Server has to be started.
