NCR patch for op sys 2.01 with Tower 800 series

Subject: Operating systems on Tower800 series.
We have had a few customers who had a variety of problems (most
especially error 49 - memory violations ) on Tower800 series and
their new operating system 2.01.
Some customers have not seen any of these problems.
What is the difference between the two?
If customers are running 2.00.00 or 2.00.01 and then upgrade to
2.00.02 they should not experience any of the errors. (This is the
equivalent of running 2.01).
If however the customer is actually running 2.01 they may well see
the error(s). The solution in this case is to have the customer
order Patch Number 800R2.Region from NCR. This corrects the
problem.
NCR is scheduled to release 2.02 in the near future. The 800R2.Region
patch is incorporated in release 2.02.
