SYMPTOM(s):
Only 8 users can connect to the database
Getting error (1157) in the database log file
CAUSE:
Several memory watching tools like to attach themselves to the shared memory of the Progress database server if it is not protected. If the procontrol environment variable for the database is ACCESS=all, this could be the cause of the problem.
FIX:
Remove ACCESS=all from the procontrol environment variables for the database
