The shared memory is version <num>; expected <num> (1178)
Error occurs when trying to connect with an SQL-92 client
No error occurs when connecting a 4GL client
CHANGE:
Installed patch 9.1C18
CAUSE:
This can happen when the files in $DLC/lib are still in use when installing the patch.
FIX:
Stop all Progress databases and services before applying the patch. When applying the patch make sure that the files in $DLC/lib are not in use.
