SYMPTOM(s):
Value of -nb exceeds softlimit value of 255
WARNING: -nb exceeded. Automatically increasing from <old value> to <new value>. (5407)
CAUSE:
The -nb value of 255 is the softlimit which can be set by users, whereas Progress internally can keep raising this value. It is a soft maximum, thus in a session can be exceeded to a new maximum. That maximum depends on the memory available but will only be maintained during that session, after that it will return to the -nb value specified as startup parameter.
FIX:
The warning message can be ignored since Progress takes care of increasing the -nb value automatically
