NFILE,NOFILES,SFNOLIM,HFNOLIM, AT&T UNIX V.4.2.02 and higher
On AT&T UNIX V.4.2.02 and higher, the following kernel parameters are
used to limit the number of open files for a process:
SFNOLIM - the soft limit on the number of files a process can have
open at one time.
HFNOLIM - the hard open file limit.
Both SFNOLIM and HFNOLIM need to be set to between 0x40 and 0x400 on
version 2.02 and higher of AT&T UNIX V.4.
So, if you see the following error message on AT&T UNIX V.4.2.02 and
higher, try setting SFNOLIM and HFNOLIM to the above values:
** Cannot find or open file <file-name>, errno = <number>. (43)
