Scrollbar behavior when BROWSE query first opened -NOT A BUG
Users may note that when a browser is first created on a query, the
behavior of the "thumb" on the scrollbar is rather strange. What the
user sees is this: as the browse moves down the records in the
viewport, bringing more and more into view, the thumb repeatedly goes
to the bottom of the scrollbar then hops up again. This behavior
continues until the last of the records in the query is reached.
This is *not* a bug. The reason is that when a query is first
opened, only a subset of the records are loaded in. This means that
the browser doesn't yet "know" how many records actually satisfied
the query, and therefore doesn't know how to accurately scale the
scrollbar thumb.
It is only after the last queried record is viewed in the viewport
that the browser actually knows the number of records in the query.
The scrollbar thumb will accurately reflect the user's position in
the query from that point on, until another query is opened in the
browse.
